Students and tutors once gathered
in the Sisters of St. Joseph's
"School on Wheels" bus. Today, they
work together at one of the
TEACH locations in Cook,
DuPage, and Will counties.
Learning English isn’t the only
goal of our TEACH students.
They also have goals of becoming
American citizens which are
attained with the help and
encouragement of their tutors.
A tutor encourages his student
to identify the continents on
the globe. English is the only
language spoken during tutoring
sessions.
Workbooks and worksheets are
used to help students learn the
English language. Some exercises
require students to create stories
from pictures.
Reaching out to the community,
TEACH offers classes to companies
and their employees. These classes
are offered after-hours at
an employee’s workplace and
at 17 local facilities.
Help TEACH reach our $35,000 goal this holiday season.
TEACH's mission is to empower immigrants through education.
We need your support to expand our programs and resources
for the thousands of adult immigrants that need free tutoring
and mentoring services in order to achieve their American Dreams.
Can we count on you? If you would like to make a donation
 to TEACH, please click here.
Rooted in the Congregation of St. Joseph's founding values of promoting inclusion, unity, and equity,
TEACH works to enrich the quality of life of all immigrants so that they may actively participate in and contribute to their communities.

Through free individualized instruction, mentoring, and support,
TEACH empowers adult learners to build their strengths and develop confident voices, enabling them to advocate for themselves, and their families in all dimensions of life.

TEACH reaches 48 communities in Western Cook, DuPage, and Will counties.
